“I think when the City Girls album came out and it wasn’t well received, we were just trying to do press. You know, the whole album release process sucked because we were just in two different spaces,” JT said, adding that she and Yung Miami are older now, and her former bandmate is pursuing his career on the West Coast while she’s also busy with her own work.

“When we got together as a group, things weren’t cohesive anymore, things weren’t working anymore. I think we both got to the point where we thought, maybe we should do things on our own,” she added.
