Justin Timberlake sheds tears as he thanks fans after being arrested for drunk driving

Justin Timberlake can’t hold back tears as he thanks fans at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 7, 2024.

“So many of you continue to shine [your] “Shine a light on me, and I want you to know how grateful I am, and I don’t take it for granted. And every single one of you — even the rookies tonight — you’ve made my life special,” the “Mirrors” singer emotionally told the crowd, Page Six reported.

As Timberlake continued his thank you speech, he promised the audience that he would remember them.

“Until I’m somewhere on this earth – wherever that may be – I want you to know that I will never forget each and every one of you… I said I wouldn’t cry!” he added.

Timbelake’s tribute comes weeks after he was embroiled in controversy following his arrest in Sag Harbor, New York. The 43-year-old singer was arrested for driving under the influence on June 18, 2024.

The singer was charged with drunken driving and two other traffic violations, including failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to maintain lane. The Grammy-winning singer was arrested and eventually released without bail the following morning.

Timberlake’s marriage to Jessica Biel has come under intense scrutiny since his arrest, with conflicting reports suggesting Timberlake’s arrest was Biel’s “wake-up call” about the couple’s 17-year affair.

“Justin humiliated her again,” a source told In Touch Weekly of Biel’s reaction to her husband’s arrest. “This could all lead to a huge divorce. No one would be surprised if Jessica gave Justin an ultimatum: Get help—or it’s over.”

Additionally, Biel’s friends think she married a “loser” and hate that she spends her life “trying to get Justin to straighten out.”

Meanwhile, Timberlake’s mugshot has become an art installation in New York after artist Godfrey Lohman painted a mugshot of the singer and submitted the painting to the Romany Kramoris Art Gallery in the Hamptons.

According to one of the gallery’s curators, Timberlake’s portrait is their “most contemporary work”, describing it as “timely”.

Notably, the gallery sold two or three pieces and “a lot of people came back.” There were reportedly long lines and passersby took photos of Timberlake’s painted portrait.
