A screening of Pharrell Williams’ ‘Piece By Piece’ in London was interrupted by animal rights protesters

Activists visited a screening of Pharrell Williams’ film “Piece by Piece”, which sparked reactions from netizens online.

Williams held a screening of his animated biographical film “Piece by Piece” at the London Film Festival, NME reported on October 20.

Before the screening began, a group of animal rights protesters interrupted the event.

A clip on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) shows protesters holding a banner with the caption: “Pharrell: Stop supporting the killing of animals for fashion.”

“Stop the torture, stop the pain. LVMH you are responsible,” protesters shouted. The protest referred to Williams’ new role as creative director for luxury brand Louis Vuitton.

Another clip also showed an activist protesting in front of an audience, which further attracted Williams and security forces’ attention.

While the activist in the video was screaming, Williams decided to acknowledge her feelings and encouraged the audience to clap. โ€œYou know, Rome wasn’t built in a day,โ€ Williams said, addressing the unexpected disruption.

The “Happy” singer continued to emphasize that in order to create change or begin progress, one must step into a position of “power and influence.”

Pharrell remained calm when confronted by an animal rights protester after the premiere of his new movie at TIFF.

That’s the difference, exactly why people aren’t equal.

His reaction broke her composure and made her think for a moment…

But she’s programmed that she can’t stop to chat… Behind her are mostly emotions, no logic or meaning.

He handles it the way I do because sometimes I find it very confrontational and performative. A lot of them don’t want to have a conversation. They just want to scream
