early life and education
Aaron Edward Eckhart was born on March 12, 1968 in Cupertino, California, USA. He was the son of poet and children’s author Mary Martha Lawrence and computer executive James Conrad Eckhart. Eckhart was the youngest of three siblings, with two older brothers named James Lawrence Eckhart and Adam Eckhart.
Eckhart attended American Community School, where he was first introduced to acting, playing Charlie Brown in a school production. In 1985, he moved to Australia and settled in Sydney, where he attended high school at the American International School in Sydney.
In 1988, Eckhart returned to the United States and studied film at Brigham Young University in Hawaii, and later transferred to Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah.
