Early life and education
Aaron Paul Sturtevant was born on August 27, 1979 in Emmet, Idaho, USA. His father is Robert Sturtevant, a Baptist minister, and his mother is Darla Haynes.
He is the youngest of four children. He was born prematurely in his parents’ bathroom, a month earlier than normal. He is the older brother of Daniel Hart.
Aaron Paul performed in church and theater as a child. In 1997, he graduated from Centennial High School in Boise, Idaho, and moved to Los Angeles with his mother in his 1982 Toyota Corolla with $6,000 in savings.

Aaron Paul married director and producer Lauren Parseghian in Paris on January 1, 2012. The couple met at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. On May 26, 2013, Foster and John Mayer married in Malibu, California, in a wedding inspired by the Parisian Carnival of the 1920s.
In February 2018, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, whom they named Story Annabelle Paul. In April 2022, their second child, a son, was born, named Ryden Caspian Paul.
After selling their old house in West Hollywood, the family currently lives in Los Feliz and has a second cabin-style home outside of McCall, Idaho, “a little village two and a half hours from Boise.”
