Fans of former One Direction member Liam Payne have raged over a proposed TV special titled “The Last Days of Liam Payne”, scheduled to air on the 24th. October on ABC’s “Nightline” for Hulu.

ABC News Studios produced the special advertising: “Drugs, a crumbling hotel room and a fatal fall: The tragic death of One Direction’s Liam Payne.”

The special gift will be provided eight days after Payne, 31, died from injuries sustained while falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires. It comes as family and friends are still grieving his passing, and the circumstances surrounding it are still being examined.

Critics took to social media to express their disgust after Variety tweeted that the special would air on Thursday night, asking why this was necessary while the Payne family remained There is not enough time to grieve.
One user said, “Whoops, I hate this,” and another added, “Are people going to drag ABC over this? But damn, those old homophobes at CBS really did change.”
Many other comments include: “I don’t even think the family buried this man” and “So tasteless. The funeral hasn’t been held yet.”
According to Variety, some of the others appearing in the special are X Factor contestant Mary Byrne and several ABC News contributors. The series will feature conversations with people in Payne’s life and “delve into the foundations of fame, fortune and celebrity culture.”

Famous for being a member of One Direction, Payne often discusses mental health and addiction. Vigils have taken place around the world in memory of the singer since his death on October 16.
Preliminary toxicology results show Payne had multiple drugs in his system when he died, but final results will be weeks away.
Additionally, a petition asking for legislation to protect the mental health of artists in the entertainment industry has received nearly 40,000 signatures as the demands continue.
