Adeherself started her career as a comedian in 2018 when she started creating comedy-related content, often featuring her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adewale.

While still persevering and doing what she loves to do the most, she made a video that humorously targeted Nigerian pop star, Teni Apata. The video became a talking point on Nigerian social media when Teni reposted it and also gifted her 100,000 Nigerian Naira.

Adeherself’s story on Nigerian social media then changed as she gained a lot of followers, her brand became one of the most talked about brands due to some of her controversial content and the fact that she often featured her parents in her skits.

While enjoying her status as a celebrity and content creator, Adeherself has made an effort to collaborate with the likes of The Cute Abiola, Isbae U, Broda Shaggi, Officer Woos, Mr Macaroni and many others to release content that has made her famous in the Nigerian comedy scene.

Internet fraud arrest

On 7 July 2020, Adeherself was arrested along with four others for web-based extortion by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). She was arraigned on a charge that included possession of false reports.

Adeherself was later released on bail, quickly released, Mompha, an online media personality who was arrested for similar behavior visited her, a video recording of their arrest was posted online and went viral.

Mompha is known to be a very wealthy Nigerian and a sponsor, so that may have contributed to the videos and photos becoming a web phenomenon. This not only expanded Adeherself’s following but also added to her status as a content creator in Nigerian online media.
