AJ Cook was born in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada to Mike Cook and Sandra Cook on July 22, 1978. Nathan Cook, Paul Cook, and Angela Cook are the names of her three siblings.

She grew up near Whitby, Ontario, and attended Anderson University Career College.
