Alexander Rae Baldwin III was born in Amityville, New York, on April 3, 1958, to Carol Newcomb and Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr. He was the youngest of six children raised by a football coach and a social studies teacher.
His siblings are Daniel, William, Stephen, Elizabeth “Beth,” and Jane Ann Baldwin Sasso. He won two Emmy Awards and was nominated for a Golden Globe as a television actor on the NBC sitcom 30 Rock.
