Early life
Gustavo Lopes Prado Costa, formerly Alex Costa, was born on July 9, 1998 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California (USA). He was conceived by Onelia Lopes McNamara and Claudio Torso da Costa. He is the older brother of Vitor and Guilherme Costa.
Alex completed his studies at the Brazilian Military School. He then attended “University of California, USA”, where he earned his degree in software engineering.
Career
Alex initially worked odd jobs to supplement his income. He worked as a truck driver, security guard, bartender, and server at Domino’s and Subway because he came from a lower middle-class family. After graduating, Google hired him as a strategic content engagement manager.
Alex created an Instagram account and posted photos and videos after settling in. He became an Instagram influencer thanks to his popular fashion blog and style tips.
Then in 2011, he launched his YouTube channel, where he posts videos about men’s fashion and style, including fashion trends, ootd, menswear tips, style tips, hair styling and haircut tutorials, as well as fitness and health, including workouts, healthy snack ideas, men’s grooming (beards, skin care), and some teen movies.
