Her husband is comedian and television host Seth Meyers. A native of New Mexico, she attended Southwestern University School of Law and Occidental College. During law school, Alexi Ashe worked as a legal intern with Human Rights First representing refugees.
As a policy and research analyst at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, she began her professional career in 2007. She was appointed assistant district attorney in the Special Victims Bureau and Human Trafficking Bureau of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office in July 2013.

Early life and education
Tom Ashe (father) and Joan Ashe (mother) welcomed Alexi Ashe into this world in New Mexico, USA, on April 1, 1983.
She has an older sister named Ariel Ashe, who founded the design firm Ashe + Leandro with architect Reinaldo Leandro. Ariel Ashe is an interior decorator. The two sisters spent their childhood in Albuquerque.

After graduating from high school, Alexi Ashe attended Occidental College in 2002 to earn a BA in Political Science and Government.
After graduating in 2006, she attended Southwestern University School of Law in 2009. In 2011, she earned her J.D. in international human rights.
Career
Alexi Ashe worked as a policy and research analyst at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office from March 2007 to April 2009 after graduating from college and law school.
She has assisted in the development of gang prevention courses for high school children, conducted truancy hearings in LAUSD, served on a child abuse death review board, and conducted community presentations at area police stations.
Alexi Ashe worked as a legal intern at the Somaly Mam Foundation from April to June 2011, where she drafted a legal guide for attorneys using civil litigation to combat sex trafficking. She eventually moved from Los Angeles to New York City and joined the King County District Attorney’s Office as a pro bono associate district attorney in 2011.
In the Sex Trafficking Unit, Alexi Ashe directed investigations of complex, lengthy criminal prosecutions and wrote legal motions and memoranda of law. She served as a legal intern representing refugees at Human Rights First from December 2011 to February 2012, interviewing clients and attorneys to document their experiences with the U.S. asylum process.
She also conducts research on international protection standards for victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. She accepted a position as a legal and compliance advisor at New York-based investment firm AC Investment Management in April 2012.
Alexi Ashe left AC Investment in December 2012 and began working as a grant writer and legal intern at the World Wide Orphan Foundation in Maplewood, New Jersey. She traveled to Haiti as part of WWOF to review new program ideas, write grant applications, and organize fundraising events.
Alexi Ashe joined the advisory board of Journeys in Film, an initiative aimed at educating people through film, in January 2013. She began working as an assistant district attorney in the special victims and human trafficking bureaus of the King’s County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York, in July 2013.

She then left to work as an attorney at Sanctuary for Families. Alexi Ashe was added to the board of directors of Human Rights First in January 2018.

Seth Meyers, a comedian, is married to Alexi Ashe. Seth Meyers, a Primetime Emmy Award winner, was born in Evanston, Illinois, and later lived in Okemos, Michigan and Bedford, New Hampshire as a child.
His late-night talk show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, airs on NBC. He served as the show’s head writer and was a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 2001 to 2014.
Alexi Ashe and Seth Meyers first met at Chris Kattan’s wedding in June 2008. SNL later hired Ariel Ashe, Alexi Ashe’s sister, in the design department.
They got engaged in July 2013. Alexi Ashe, who got food poisoning at a rehearsal dinner and had to be rushed to the hospital, almost prevented their wedding from taking place.
On September 1, 2013, the final wedding took place on Martha’s Vineyard. Ashe Olsen Meyers (born March 27, 2016) and Axel Strahl Meyers (born April 8, 2018) are their two children.
