Alexi Ashe (born April 1, 1983) is a prominent lawyer and human rights activist from the United States.

The American human rights lawyer is currently affiliated with Sanctuary for Families. This well-known organization supports victims of sex trafficking, domestic violence, and other forms of gender-based violence.

Her husband is comedian and television host Seth Meyers. A native of New Mexico, she attended Southwestern University School of Law and Occidental College. During law school, Alexi Ashe worked as a legal intern with Human Rights First representing refugees.

As a policy and research analyst at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, she began her professional career in 2007. She was appointed assistant district attorney in the Special Victims Bureau and Human Trafficking Bureau of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office in July 2013.

Early life and education

Tom Ashe (father) and Joan Ashe (mother) welcomed Alexi Ashe into this world in New Mexico, USA, on April 1, 1983.

She has an older sister named Ariel Ashe, who founded the design firm Ashe + Leandro with architect Reinaldo Leandro. Ariel Ashe is an interior decorator. The two sisters spent their childhood in Albuquerque.

She eventually moved from Los Angeles to New York City and joined the King County District Attorney’s Office as a pro bono associate district attorney in 2011.

In the Sex Trafficking Unit, Alexi Ashe directed investigations of complex, lengthy criminal prosecutions and wrote legal motions and memoranda of law.
