Amnesia: The Bunker gameplay
Amnesia: The Bunker is a horror game in which you play as a French soldier named Henri Clement during World War I. Trapped in an underground bunker, Henry must deal with a creepy monster known as “The Beast” that hates light. To survive, Henry needs to keep the bunker powered up, scavenge for supplies and weapons, and fight off enemies. But ammo is hard to come by, so he has to be careful.

It’s dark in the bunker, and Henry has a watch that tells him when the power runs out. If so, monsters will start hunting him, and Henry must refuel the generator and use a noisy flashlight to see. There is a limited amount of fuel, so if it runs out, Henry must complete the game in the dark.
This game is different from other games in the series because it has a “semi-open world”. This means players have more freedom to explore and choose how to do things. There aren’t that many scripted events, and the beast is always around, making things even scarier.
The game is also inspired by immersive simulation, meaning the world reacts to the player’s actions. For example, players can use gasoline to create temporary light sources and scare away monsters. The safe room is where players can rest and save their progress, and can also view the map to understand the layout of the bunker. Unlike other games, The Bunker has no mechanics to drive characters crazy.

Henry learns the history of the bunker: the soldiers discover an ancient tunnel, but it causes nightmares and madness. Henry feels guilty about Lambert’s disappearance and realizes that Lambert turned into a beast after drinking the strange water in the tunnels.
Henry finds dynamite to blow up the exit, but falls into the tunnel. He faces the beast and either fights it or runs away. If he fails, the beast escapes. Henry’s fate was uncertain, and he fell into a bomb crater along with nearby German soldiers.
