Andreea Dragoi started making waves around Christmas last year when she emerged as a college influencer at San Jose State University last year. During the 2022-23 season, she finished 31st overall with a final time of 1:43.50 in the 200-yard medley relay at the CSCAA National Invitation Championships; took second place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:08.11 against UC Davis; posted a time of 59.37 in the 100-yard butterfly to take first place in the event against CSU East Bay; and recorded a time of 2:05:50 for a top-10 finish in the 200-yard butterfly at the Mizzou Invite.

She is originally from Bucharest, Romania, and received her IB Diploma from the International School of Bucharest. In her home country, she competed in the World and European Youth Championships. Andreea decided to attend SJSU because of the school’s programs in kinesiology, sports management, and psychology.

As a junior at San Jose State, Andreea decided to spend her summer working as a lifeguard in Florida. To announce her new job, Andreea posted a video on TikTok that went viral.
