Early life and education
Andrew David Farrell was born on 30 May 1975 in Wigan, United Kingdom. He was raised by his parents, with his father Peter Farrell being a former rugby player. However, his mother’s name is not publicly known.

Farrell also won 34 caps for England and 11 caps for England in rugby union, including appearances at the 1995 and 2000 World Cups. After retiring as a player, Farrell moved into coaching. He worked as an assistant coach for Saracens, Munster, England and Ireland, before being appointed as Ireland’s head coach in 2019.
