Emory Andrew Tate III (born December 1, 1986) is an English-American social media personality, entrepreneur, and former professional kickboxer. He is known by his stage name Andrew Tate and has amassed a reputation for promoting an ultra-masculine and ultra-luxurious lifestyle.

Early life
Emory Andrew Tate III was born on December 1, 1986, to an African-American father and an English mother. He was born at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. His father, Emory Tate, was an international chess grandmaster, while his mother, Eileen Tate, worked as a catering assistant.
He is the first child of his parents and has a younger brother named Trishan Tate and a younger sister named Janine Tate. Andrew Tate spent his early years living in Chicago, Illinois and Goshen, Indiana, as his family moved cities several times.

By 2008, the International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) ranked him as the seventh best light heavyweight kickboxer in the UK. In 2009, he won his first championship when he won the British IKSA Full Contact Cruiserweight Championship at Derby. He was ranked number one in Europe when he won the title.
In 2011, Andrew Tate scored the biggest win of his career when he won his first IKSA world title in a rematch with Jean Luc-Benoit by knockout. He had previously fought Jean Luc-Benoit but lost by decision. He lost the Enfusion Championship to Franci Grajs in 2012. In 2013, he won another IKSA world title in a 12-round fight with Vincent Petitjean, making him a two-division world champion. Prior to his loss to Franci Grajs in 2012, he was ranked the second best light heavyweight kickboxer in the world and rose to number one after defeating Vincent Petitjean.
After winning the world title, Andrew Tate retired as a professional kickboxer. He fought a total of 85 fights in his kickboxing career, winning 76 and losing 9. Of his wins, 23 were by knockout. He fought a total of 3 fights as a mixed martial arts fighter, winning two and losing one.

Personal life
Andrew Tate spent his teenage years and adulthood living in the UK, frequently traveling to the US. In 2017, he moved from the UK to Romania and has lived in the European country ever since.
Although Andrew Tate was raised Catholic, he later became an atheist. In early 2022, he converted back to Christianity and announced that he would donate £16,000 a month to the Romanian Orthodox Church. On December 29, 2022, Andrew Tate and his brother Trishan Tate, along with two women, were arrested by Romanian police.
