Early life and education

Anh Do is an Australian writer who was born in Vietnam on 2 June 1977. He and his family were refugees who immigrated to Australia in 1980. He is the son of Tam Do and Hien Do. He has two siblings: Khoa Do and Tram Do.

He attended TAFE and a university, studying fine arts and law, but dropped both to pursue comedy, and last year he cut back on his comedy performances to return to painting full-time.
