Biography
Born in Vietnam on 2 June 1977, Anh Do is a talented Australian writer, actor, comedian and painter. He has appeared on Australian television shows such as Thank God You’re Here and Good News Week and was runner-up on Dancing with the Stars in 2007.
He studied Business Law and Technology at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has acted in several of his brother Khoa Do’s films, including Footy Legends, which he co-wrote and produced.
2012 saw the launch of Anh Do Vietnam, a television show. He won the People’s Choice Award in 2017 and was a four-time finalist for the Archibald Prize. From 2016 to 2018, he hosted Anh’s Brush with Fame on ABC.

Early life and education
Anh Do is an Australian author born in Vietnam on 2 June 1977. He and his family were refugees who migrated to Australia in 1980. He is the son of Tam Do and Hien Do. He has two siblings: Khoa Do and Tram Do.
He was also enrolled in TAFE and university to study fine arts and law, but dropped both to pursue a comedy career. He has since scaled back his comedy since last year to return to painting full-time.
Mr. Do and his family had a difficult time in Australia. He had a different diet from other children, learned English slowly, and dressed differently. He learned English very quickly and his academic performance improved. He worked hard for many years and finally achieved success.
Career
Do attended St. Aloysius College in Milsons Point for his high school diploma. He started a small tropical fish farming business when he was 14. During his first year studying law at the University of Technology, Sydney, he ran a stall selling Native American artifacts, which he later expanded to four franchise locations.
Six months before completing his combined Business Law degree, law firms offered him 60-hour weeks. Instead, he decided to start doing stand-up comedy. He scaled back his stand-up work in 2013 to focus entirely on his paintings. He was a finalist for the Archibald Prize in 2014, 2017, and 2019.
From 2016 to 2021, Anh Do was the host of the ABC-Brush TV show Anh’s with Fame. Anh Do, the host, conducted interviews with famous Australians while also portraying them. He has been criticised for drawing portraits first using photographs and using the help of art tutors.

Personal life
Talented Australian comedian, author and artist Anh Do is also a devoted family man. He is the proud father of four children, three sons and a daughter, whom he shares with his wife, Suzanne Do.
