early life

Anita was born and raised in the Honorio Gurguer neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, one of the places with the lowest human development index in the city; she is the youngest daughter of Miriam Macedo and Mauro Machado. Her other siblings are Felipe Terra and Renan Machado.
