Ankita Sharma was born in Durga Chhattisgarh region on 25 April 1992. She grew up in Durga, Chhattisgarh and went to school there. From an early age, she was passionate about taking the UPSC exam and serving the country.
Her mother helped her prepare for it. Ankita Sharma’s father was a government official at that time. He quit his job at the age of 45 and started farming because he wanted to help his daughter grow up healthy. He then started working as a farmer again after retiring.

After completing her training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, she was selected for the Gujarat Cadre in 2012. She then started her career in Chhattisgarh, where she was posted to the ACP position.
