Her father is Carmen Ojales, a Filipino from Bolinao, Pangasinan, and her mother is James Ernest Curtis Smith, an Australian lawyer. Anne has two siblings, her sister Jasmine Curtis Smith, who is also an actress, and her brother Thomas James Curtis Smith.
