How does Armored Core 6 beat smart cleaners?
Smart vacuum cleaners are slow but incredibly powerful. Interestingly, its limited maneuverability actually makes it more vulnerable while airborne in this particular confrontation. The boss is equipped with giant razor arms and the ability to spread lava onto the ground, effectively covering ground and close areas.
Of course, dodging these powerful attacks requires keeping a safe distance and dodging at the right time. Image provided by Push Square in the context of the Armored Core 6: How to Defeat Smart Cleaner guide: The Smart Cleaner presents two obvious points of vulnerability: the chimney at the top of its structure and the small red vent located on its chest. While the former is relatively easy to achieve, the latter requires more effort to aim. Using rockets, bullets, and melee attacks, it is recommended to focus on chimneys first to fill up the stagger gauge.
Once the pressure gauge reaches a critical point and the boss enters a weakened state, there will be an opportune moment to drop to the ground and exploit the vulnerability of the vents. This particular weakness produces the greatest damage potential, requiring concentrated attacks within this brief window. When a Smart Cleaner’s health is reduced by approximately one-third, its aggression escalates significantly. One notable offensive tactic is for the boss to raise its double saw-like arms above its head. To dodge this attack, you need to perform a surprise acceleration maneuver directly through the center of your arm. After that, the strategy remains the same: Prioritize the chimneys to build up the stagger gauge, and use the openings to engage red vents, thus sapped the boss’s health.

Armored Core 6 Smart Cleaner
In Armored Core 6, powerful opponents known as Smart Cleaners take center stage. This mechanical behemoth exhibits a unique blend of attributes, combining slowness with extraordinary strength. Paradoxically, its apparent lack of maneuverability gives it an edge in air engagements, thereby gaining a strategic advantage in a confrontation.
The Smart Cleaner has a massive razor weapon capable of spraying lava onto the battlefield, effectively covering ground and close combat scenarios. To successfully navigate this encounter, one must maintain a safe distance and dodge its powerful attacks through precise timing and skilled dodge techniques.
To achieve victory, the pilot must exploit its weaknesses, primarily targeting its chimney and a small red vent in its chest. The chimney provides an accessible target, while the chest vent requires more precise articulation. Using a range of weapons including rockets, bullets and melee tactics, recommended strategies include focusing on chimneys to establish staggering.
Once the pressure gauge reaches a critical point, turning to attack the red vent becomes a perfect opportunity to exploit its weakness for maximum damage. As the battle unfolds, the Smart Cleaner’s aggression escalates after most of its health is depleted. One notable attack involves raising a saw-like arm, posing a challenge that can be circumvented by performing an assault acceleration maneuver through the center.
The key throughout the fight remains to always aim for the chimney, establishing stagger while making opportunistic contact with the chest vents. Armored Core 6’s Smart Cleaner encounters require a combination of precision, timing, and adaptability for pilots to emerge victorious.
Armored Core 6 plot
The story of “Armored Core VI” takes place in a future where mankind has reached the height of interstellar civilization. Set in the distant frontier world of Rubicon 3, an extraordinary substance called coral has been discovered. This substance has dual properties, serving as both an energy source and a conduit for data. Coral was originally hailed as a key factor in human technological progress.
However, its real impact was catastrophic. Instead of making progress, it triggered a catastrophic event known as the “Ibis Fire.” The event engulfed the planet and its neighboring star system in a devastating conflagration, leaving behind deadly contaminants. This disaster led people to believe that all coral was wiped out.
Half a century later, against all odds, traces of coral resurfaced aboard Rubicon 3. Companies rushed to exploit this newfound resource, aiming to control it despite the potential costs and dangers to local populations. In addition to these corporations, mercenaries also swarm the planet, attracted by the prospect of profit in the ensuing conflict.
The protagonist is an augmented human identified as “C4-621” who is under the control of a notorious handler named Walter. Bound by servitude, C4-621 assumes the duties of an Armored Core pilot, engaging in mercenary work with the promise of ensuring a new beginning in life. After the illegal landing of Rubicon 3, C4-621 seized the license of a deceased mercenary and adopted the call sign “Raven”, becoming a key figure in the incident.
