Francis Arthur Nzeribe (born 2 November 1938) is a prominent Nigerian politician who served as Senator for the Orlu constituency in Imo State on two different occasions.
In his first term, he held office from October 1983 to December 1983, while in his second term, he served from May 1999 to May 2007 on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) list. Throughout his political career, Arthur Nzeribe has always represented his constituency and contributed to the political landscape of Nigeria.

Early life
Arthur Nzeribe, a Nigerian politician, was born on 2 November 1938 in Orlu, Imo State. Tragically, he lost his mother when he was still a primary school student, leaving his father, who was studying law in England, as the only survivor.
In this challenging situation, Arthur Nzeribe was cared for by Catholic priests to ensure that he received an education. Thanks to their support and guidance, he had the opportunity to attend both schools. Bishop Shanahan College in Orlu and Holy Ghost College in Owerri.

Arthur Nzeribe, a prominent Nigerian politician, had his academic activities shaped at Bishop Shanahan College in Orlu and Holy Ghost College in Owerri. His journey took him to Lagos in 1957, where he secured a position as an engineering cadet at the Nigerian Ports Authority.
The following year, Nzeribe was awarded a scholarship by the NPA to study marine engineering. He then enrolled at Portsmouth College of Technology and then continue to study further at Chesterfield College of Technology in England.
Career
In London, Arthur Nzeribe founded the Fanz Organisation as a diversified business with interests in heavy construction, arms trading, oil brokerage, publishing and property investment. The diversified company was a huge success, achieving an impressive annual trading turnover of £70 million by 1979.
Furthermore, Nzeribe has expanded his business ventures in Nigeria by establishing Sentinel Assurance and developing the Heaven of Peace estate in Oguta. Through these endeavors, Nzeribe has demonstrated his business acumen and ability to establish thriving businesses both internationally and domestically.
Arthur Nzeribe’s political career began in 1983 when he won election and became a Senator representing the Orlu Senatorial constituency. However, his time in the Senate was cut short by a military coup in December of that year. As a result of the coup, Nzeribe was briefly detained, but was soon released from prison.
In 1999, Arthur Nzeribe was again elected to the Senate, representing the PDP (Peoples Democratic Party). During his tenure in the Senate, which spanned two terms, he held the prestigious position of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health. However, Nzeribe’s tenure was not without controversy, as he was embroiled in several scandals that attracted considerable attention.
