Assassin’s Creed Phantoms

Released in 2023, Assassin’s Creed Phantoms is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. Originally planned as an expansion pack for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Mirage evolved into a standalone game to expand its scope. It aims to recapture the essence of the series, blending elements from earlier titles with new features. The game, which was released in October 2023 on multiple platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, received positive reviews for its world design and return to the franchise’s roots, although some critics noted that its story relied on past installments.

A mobile version for iOS devices, specifically iPhone 15 Pro models, is expected to launch in early 2024. Mirage’s popularity highlights its success in reinvigorating core gameplay elements while maintaining the series’ historical intrigue and immersive gameplay.

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms gameplay

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms is a stealth action adventure game focused on storytelling and exploration. Players take on the role of Basin, who possesses a vast array of tools and weapons, such as the assassin’s hidden blade, smoke grenades, and poison darts. Basim can upgrade these weapons and tools through a skill tree, allowing players to add different effects to them.

The game is set in Baghdad and is divided into different regions, each with its own atmosphere. Players can also explore smaller towns surrounding the city. The main goal is to eliminate your target, and Mirage features a “black box” design, meaning players must explore the environment to figure out different ways to accomplish this goal.

Basim also has some cool abilities, like eagle vision, which helps scout the area, and an eagle friend named Enkidu. But be careful, as enemies can spot and shoot Enkidu, so players must be careful.

A new ability called “Assassin Focus” allows players to eliminate multiple enemies at once and replenish energy through stealth assassinations. To move around, players can use poles scattered around Baghdad to span wide gaps.

Overall, Assassin’s Creed Phantoms’ gameplay is all about sneaking around, using cool gadgets, taking out bad guys in creative ways, and improving animations for smoother movement.
