Aubrey Poo (born 17 May 1981) is a recognized South African actor, dancer and singer.
He is best known for his role as Pelo Mohale in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango and for hosting the SABC1 game show All You Need Is Love.
From 2008 to 2011, he also played the role of youth pastor trainee Lefa Letswalo in the e.tv soap opera Scandal!
In 2012, Aubrey Poo also starred in the SABC2 police drama Mangaang Streets as Lieutenant Colonel Selo Kumek, the commander of the station’s crime prevention unit, tasked with combating lawlessness in the city.

early life
Aubrey Poo was born on May 17, 1981 in Pretoria.
He completed his high school education at Pro Arte and obtained a National Diploma in Drama from the Pretoria Polytechnic (now Tshwane University of Technology) in December 2000.

In 2002, Aubrey Pugh won the Best New Actor Award for his role in the critically acclaimed Play@Risk directed by Megan Wilson. He then played the lead role of Gabriel in the musical Far From the Madding Crowd at the Durban Theatre and later traveled to Spain to perform music for Motown Records.
Aubrey Poo wrote the company’s venue materials for the FIFA 2010 emblem launch in Berlin and co-wrote the best production in Barnyard Theater’s history: Diamonds and Dust, in which he also played the title role.
Aubrey Poo made her television and film debut in 2005 and 2006, playing roles in Gaz’lam, Muvhango, Zero Tolerance, Zone 14 and Akin Omotoso’s Nomzamo, and starred in the Afrikaans film Ouma se Slim Kind.
However, his most recurring roles on the South African Broadcasting Corporation were as the male host of All You Need is Love and Janice Honeyman’s impersonator of the Genie in Aladdin.
Aubrey Poo played the moving title role in the 2007 stage musical The Soweto Story and starred as Tom Collins in the 2008 musical Rent.
From December 2007 to March 2008, he played the role of narrative producer Themba in the SABC1 series Usindiso (Redemption).
From July to August 2008, he played Tebogo in the SABC2 mini-series Noah’s Ark, and in 2011, he hosted the first season of the SABC2 game show The Right to Win.
In 2013, he starred in the controversial SABC1 drama series After 9.
Personal life
Aubrey Poo is married and has a 12-year-old daughter whom he loves very much, but he has not revealed his daughter’s name nor has he disclosed his wife’s information.
