Autopsy results show that the death of the leader of the Crazy Town group was due to a drug overdose.

Shifty Shellshock’s cause of death has been revealed.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a press release on the autopsy results of the late Crazy Town lead singer.

Shellshock — real name Seth Brooks Binzer — died of an overdose caused by a combination of “fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine,” according to a press release.

The department said the autopsy was completed June 25, the day after Binzer was found dead at his Los Angeles home. He was 49.

The singer’s cause and manner of death were only confirmed on September 24 as relevant test results and studies had to be studied and verified first. The official report of the Medical Examiner will be released on October 11.

Before confirming Shellshock’s cause of death, Crazy Town’s manager, Howie Hubberman, revealed via Us Weekly that the late artist appeared to have succumbed to drug addiction.

“Seth Binzer, after struggling with addiction and the quick success of Crazy Town with ‘Butterfly,’ has never been more successful in dealing with his addiction. We all tried, but ultimately failed, otherwise Shifty would still be here,” Hubberman shared with the TV channel.

The rock band’s manager continued, “The cause of death was a combination of prescription and street drugs. Shifty was a friend and really wanted to get sober on his own — unfortunately no one had the tools to do that, including me.”

According to the New York Post, Shellshock has always been very open about his struggles with addiction and has even documented them on shows like “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” and “Sober House.”
