In fact, the “212” rapper recently took to Instagram to share, “Sorry pop girls, you all pale in comparison to Ariana Grande. Tate McRae, Sabrina Carpenter, Caroline Polo Heck, Lorde has Old faces are so boring.”
I love that, despite the hate and hatred that exists in her heart, she only has good things to say about Miss Swift and Miss Grande. She is truly one of the girls

This comes at a time when many are questioning the validity of Grande taking on the role. After Just Jared reported that Amanda Seyfried was close to landing the role herself, social media users began comparing both actors, debating who deserved the role more.
While some thought Grande’s “Popular” was performed perfectly, others called it “lacking emotion” and were disappointed by her performance. “She sounds great, but could have been much better. Lacks emotion and sounds like she’s whispering. What a pity,” one user commented.
Compared to Seyfried’s take on the song, others thought Seyfried mastered the song’s eerie energy better. “Amanda Seyfried makes everyone look like an amateur,” one X user praised.
Despite the gossip, Grande was still said to have given an “Oscar-worthy performance” according to critics.
