Bad Bunny endorses Kamala Harris with 45 million Instagram followers

Bad Bunny posted on Sunday a Kamala Harris video on his social media account in which the vice president and Democratic Party candidate spoke about the importance of the current election for Puerto Ricans, both on the island and on the mainland United States.

El Conejo itself doesn’t add any words, but there’s really no need to. The video originally appeared on Kamala’s page and he reposted it on his Instagram story. He then reposted several times a segment in which she said “I will never forget what Donald Trump did and what he didn’t do. When Puerto Rico needed a capable leader,” regarding his management as president of the devastation created by Hurricane María in 2017.

Bad Bunny has 45.6 million followers on Instagram.

Here is the message:

” There’s a lot at stake in this election for Puerto Rican and Puerto Rican voters. And this election isn’t just a choice between Donald Trump and me. It’s a choice between two very visions. different for our country. One, his focus on the past as well as on himself and those of us who focus on the future and on you, Puerto Rico of some of the most talented, creative and ambitious people in our country, and the people of Puerto Rico deserve a president who sees and invests in that strength.

As president, I will reduce housing costs, invest in small businesses and entrepreneurs, and fight to finally ensure equitable access to programs that strengthen the care system health and support for children, the elderly and workers. I will establish a new Puerto Rico Economic Opportunity Task Force, where the federal government will work with the private sector, with nonprofits and community leaders to promote economic growth and creating thousands of new, good-paying jobs in Puerto Rico, including for our young people. And I know that Puerto Rico’s economic future depends on urgently rebuilding and modernizing the island’s energy grid. That’s why I will cut red tape, ensure disaster recovery funds are used quickly and effectively, and work with leaders across the island to ensure all Puerto Ricans Rico has access to reliable and affordable electricity.

I will never forget what Donald Trump did and what he didn’t do. When Puerto Rico needed a competent leader, he abandoned the island, tried to block aid after successive devastating hurricanes, and offered nothing but tissues and insults. And now Donald Trump promises to be even more extreme, talking about using the military against his political enemies and becoming a dictator from the start. Puerto Ricans deserve better. As president, I will always fight for you and your families, and together we can turn the page and chart a new and joyful path toward a future where everyone who can not only overcome but also move forward. Thank you and please take care.”
