Baldur’s Gate 3 Rescue the Trapped

Mission: Rescue trapped people

Location: Woking Manor, Act 1 – Wilderness

objective:

  1. Free the trapped people.
  2. Take Ben Lin to a safe place.
  3. Find Miri.
  4. Find the dowry.
  5. Tell Benlin where Miri is.
  6. Talk to Benlin.

drill:

  • Go to Woking Manor, west of the burning building in Act 1 – Wilderness. Inside the building, you’ll find a trapped man named Ben Lin on the second floor.
  • Break the door of the room where Ben Lin is trapped. Once he’s free, talk to him to learn more about what happened and the dowry of the trapped man.
  • Ben Lin will ask for your help in finding his wife Miri, whose body is in the building next door. Use the Speak with the Dead ability to communicate with Miri’s spirit and learn about the dowry hidden in the barn.
  • Leave the building and head to the west of the main entrance to Woking Manor. There was a path that led to some barns, but it was on fire. The path can be made less dangerous by using the “Create Water” scroll, having Gale cast the spell, using the Shadowheart’s “Create and Destroy Water” ability, or grabbing a bucket from inside a building to extinguish the fire patch.
  • Explore the roadside barn and the haystack in the corner. Roll a Perception check and you will find the location of the dowry in a gilded chest. Open the treasure chest to find the trousseau ring, worth about 155 gold coins.
  • Return to Benlin and tell him about his wife’s body and the found dowry. He will run towards Miri’s body.
  • Follow Ben Lin to find Miri’s body and talk to him again to complete the mission. You can choose to return the dowry to him or keep it for yourself, which affects your reputation and alliances.
  • Once you make your decision, the “Rescue the Trapped” mission will be completed.
