• Some crash protection measures have been introduced to ensure that when a save game fails to load, you are sent back to the main menu.
• Fixed some issues that caused the second player on split screen to have a black screen for 30 seconds.
• Fixed a bug where you would not be able to open containers (such as camp supply bags) when trading if you selected a different character than the one who initiated the trade. This also solves a sneaky money exploit problem.
• Fixed a bug that caused the environment to never take its turn, impeding combat progress.
• Fixed a bug that would cause you to get stuck in combat if you still had some bats left after defeating Khazador.

There are many missions in the game that you can solve in different ways. You can even choose to fight and defeat almost any character in the game, regardless of whether they’re important to the story or not.

The game is divided into three main parts, each taking place in a different location. You can tackle the missions in any order you want, making the game non-linear.

The party tried various methods to remove the tadpoles, but all failed. They discover a “dream visitor” within Shadowheart’s prism that protects them from the tadpole’s mental influence. They then became involved in a conflict between druids and tiefling refugees and goblins who worshiped the “Absolute” cult.

They head to Moonrise Tower to find a cure. There, they learn that General Catheric Thom plans to use a relic called the Nightsong to gain immortality. The party confronts Catheric and learns about the Absolute, an elder brain who controls those people with tadpoles.

In Baldur’s Gate, they faced off against Catheric’s allies Orin and Gortashe, who manipulated them. They discover that the “Dream Visitor” is actually an illithid named “The Emperor”, who is using a Githyanki prisoner named Orpheus to create psionic resistance.

The protagonist confronts Orin and Gotash in an attempt to subdue the Elder Brain. They realize that the Nedstone needs Orpheus’s power. They can either free Orpheus or sacrifice him to defeat the Elder Brain.

In the end, the protagonist can choose to kill the Elder Brain and end the threat, or betray their friends and rule with sheer power.
