Bandits strike again, kidnap mother of Hausa musician Rarara in Katsina

Bandits have once again struck fear into the hearts of Katsina State as they kidnapped Hajiya Halima Adamu, the revered mother of popular Hausa singer Dauda Adamu, popularly known as Dauda Kahutu Rarara. The incident occurred in the early morning of June 28, 2024, at her residence in Kahutu village, Danja Local Government Area of ​​Katsina State.

According to eyewitnesses, the bandits entered the village on foot at around 1am. They approached Hajiya Adamu’s house and abducted her, leaving the rest of the family unharmed. The audacity of the bandits in targeting the mother of a prominent figure in the community sent shockwaves throughout the area.

Rarara, known for his great music and his support for All Progressive Congress (APC), has yet to make a statement on the kidnapping of his mother. However, the incident has sparked outrage among fans and the public, with many expressing condolences and praying for the safe return of Hajiya Adamu.

The Katsina State Police Command was alerted to the incident and launched a search and rescue operation to secure the release of Hajiya Adamu.
