The Void Breach is a challenging haunted location in Outcast Ghosts of New Eden, offering optional encounters for players looking for extra difficulty and rewards. These areas function similarly to lairs, elite enemies, and scourges, requiring players to activate them by performing the Void Travel Ritual after finding voids on the map.

Activate and challenge
- To activate Void Break, players must first visit the Isle of Siridin in the Mire Marsh. Once activated, Void Break presents players with a brief linear location containing multiple battles, culminating in a fight with a mini-boss named “Sorrow”. During these encounters, players must contend with special rules that alter the course of combat, adding additional challenges.
Combat mechanics
- During the fight against Sorrow, players must avoid the boss’s projectiles and smaller enemies, while also destroying the clusters of black tentacles that shield the boss. Once the tentacle is destroyed, the shield dissipates, allowing the player to deal damage to the boss. The boss is a black column and can be defeated with a rifle shot.

Completing Void Breakout rewards players with significant stat boosts and rare upgrade materials called Void Shards. After defeating Sorrow, the player must perform the Void Travel Ritual again to return to the physical world.
- This action takes players to previously inaccessible locations on the map, where they can claim chests containing additional rewards, such as weapons or items. While opening a treasure chest does not increase the area’s exploration percentage, it does provide players with valuable loot to use during their journey.
