early life
Bayani was born on June 25, 1997 in Lagos State, Nigeria. His parents are from the south of Lagos. He spent his growing up years living in the city of Lagos with his parents and siblings.
He comes from a prominent family known for good moral values and charitable deeds. His parents raised him in the Christian faith and ensured that he was familiar with the teachings of the Bible from an early age.
As a child, Bayanni loved listening to music on the radio, cell phone, cassette player or television. By listening to songs from African and Western artists, he was exposed to Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, R&B, Fuji, Highlife, Soul and Pop.
He developed an interest in music at an early age, but it was the local church choir that allowed him to showcase his musical talents. While in the choir, he developed his singing ability and began to hone his songwriting skills.

He completed his primary education at a reputable private nursery and primary school in Lagos mainland.
He received his high school education in a well-known secondary school.
After passing the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), he applied to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and was accepted. He is currently an undergraduate student at the institution.

Bayani decided early on that he wanted to make music professionally and chose to specialize in mainstream music rather than gospel music.
Influenced by top musicians like Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Olamide, he began composing Afro-pop and Afro-beat songs in the comfort of his parents’ home and school dormitory.
After a few months, his songwriting ability improved greatly and he started recording songs in a studio near the university. He soon established relationships with many sound producers in Lagos and Ife who appreciated his talent as a musician.
Despite his busy undergraduate schedule, Bayanni still found time to create music. He made his passion a priority, and this paved the way for him, as he soon became a well-known figure in the OAU music scene and began to receive requests for collaborations and invitations to perform in shows hosted by the university.
Bayanni began recording covers of popular songs and posting them on his social media pages to promote his career. In April 2021, he recorded and released a cover of Ckay’s “Felony”. On October 14, 2021, he released a cover of Davido’s “Jowo”. Five days later, on October 19, 2021, he released a cover of Fireboy DML’s “Peru”.
On April 12, 2022, Bayanni released the highly anticipated single “African Beauty”. The song was produced by Blaise Beatz and mixed by Michael Synx. The visuals for the single were shot by Pharouk Damilola Films and released on the same day.
Since its release, “African Beauty” has received thousands of streams and downloads. The song has steadily climbed the Afropop charts in the country.
The soulful singer has also released other singles such as “Duro” (featuring Frescool), “BMW” and “Ballerina”.

After a period away from the media, Bayanni was announced as a new member of Mavins in August 2022. The announcement was accompanied by a short video featuring comedians Brain Jotter, Mr Funny, and Don Jazzy in a lab setting.
Soon after his popularity, a 4-song Bayanni EP was released under the exclusive license of Mavin Global Holdings, marking his entry into the global music scene. Songs such as “Family”, “Ta Ta Ta”, “Kala” and “Body” are part of the Bayanni EP.
