Early life
BBNaija Chizzy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Francis on October 14, 1993. His official name is Aniekwe Chidi Francis. Aniekwe means “Ani has agreed” in English, while his other name, Chidi, means “God lives” in English.
He was born and raised in Onitsha and is a native of Anambra State. Chizzy’s hometown is Umunya and he hails from Oyi Local Government Area.
He comes from a lower middle class family of six. He has three siblings – two sisters and a brother. His brother is a lawyer. BBNaija Chizzy comes from a humble background and was brought up well. He speaks English and Igbo fluently.
Education
BBNaija Chizzy attended primary school in a public school in Onitsha.
He is an alumnus of Osisatech Boys Senior Secondary School, Enugu. He graduated from the school with high marks in the Senior Secondary School Leaving Examination (SSCE).
Chizzy attended Heritage Polytechnic, Eket, Akwa Ibom State for his undergraduate studies.
Career
BBNaija Chizzy has an entrepreneurial spirit. While in high school, he started a string of small businesses that helped him earn money to supplement the pocket money he received from his parents.
After graduating from high school, he was not immediately accepted into a higher education institution. To keep himself busy, he applied for paid employment in Onitsha. Over the next three years, he worked a variety of jobs, learning the basics of running a successful business and how to provide good customer service. During this time, he also learned some craft skills, which he used to start his own side businesses.
Chizzy has also been involved in the commercial transport business. He worked as a Keke (Tricycle) driver and an Okada (Motorcycle) driver. He saved some of the income he earned from the business and used it as capital to start a farm. He grew the farm into a thriving agricultural enterprise in a short period of time. He is currently working as a manager at a steel company in Ogun State. His friend owns the company.
Chizzy has harbored ambitions of becoming a showbiz star since he was a teenager. He got the chance to achieve his dream when he auditioned for a spot on the Big Brother Naija Show in May 2022. He impressed the judges at the audition and made it through the selection rounds to become one of the housemates in Season 7 of the reality TV show.
On August 7, 2022, he was revealed to millions of Big Brother Naija fans. His appearance on the show came a few weeks after the show officially began. BBNaija Chizzy was designated as a Rider on the Big Brother show. This means that he can neither win the show nor be evicted from the show. He will remain on the show until the very end.
