Chibueze “Hermes” Iyele (born April 21, 1997) is a Nigerian dancer, professional model, reality television personality, athlete and dance teacher. He sometimes calls himself Agbero.
He has appeared in music videos for artists such as Davido, Ajebo Hustlers and Burna Boy. He has performed some of his dance work at cultural festivals in Lagos, Glasgow and Rotterdam.
BBNaija Hermes Iyele has taught dance lessons to students in Africa and Europe. He is currently a housemate on the reality TV show Big Brother Naija season 7.

Early life
BBNaija Hermes Iyele was born on April 21, 1997 in Lagos. His mother is Mrs. Isioma John. He comes from a family of five. He has an elder sister named Isioma Iyele and a brother named Kuthumi Iyele. Isioma Iyele is a sociologist. Kuthumi Iyele is a Yoga teacher. He is from Delta State, Nigeria.
He comes from a humble background and grew up on the streets of Lagos. He had a difficult childhood that exposed him to the hardships faced by low-income families in Nigeria. Growing up, he lived in various unfinished buildings and attended public schools.
As a teenager, he nicknamed himself Hermes. He was a very creative person. Hermes Iyele was a talented dancer and a popular kid in his neighborhood because of his outstanding dancing skills. He participated in several dance competitions in Lagos City as a teenager.

Career
As a teenager, BBNaija Hermes Iyele decided to turn his passion for dancing into a professional career. He took dance lessons to become a better dancer and learned how to use dance to tell a story.
Hermes started his creative career as a dancer and model in Lagos. He has modeled for various brands in commercial performances such as Television Commercials (TVCs), billboards and fashion shows.
He has performed as a solo artist at various festivals in Lagos. He has also collaborated with other artists to create various works, which have been performed at shows in Nigeria. Hermes Iyele has performed dance pieces at festivals held in Glasgow and Rotterdam. In 2018, he held a paid dance class in Germany, attended by university students from the country.
BBNaija Hermes Iyele has been working with the African Artists’ Foundation. He was an artist-in-residence at the foundation in 2021. This residency allowed him to teach high school students about the importance of performing arts in society, character traits, and expression. This residency also helped him gain more visibility in the African and Western dance communities and allowed him to perform more.
Hermes Iyele’s dance has been featured in many music videos by Nigerian A-list artists. He appeared in the music video for the song Ke Star by Davido and Focalistic. Dammy Twitch directed the video. He has also appeared in music videos by artists such as Zinoleesky, Burna Boy and LAX. He appeared in Buju BNXN’s video So Lovely.
In order to reach a wider audience and further his career, BBNaija Hermes Iyele decided to participate in the reality TV show Big Brother Naija. After passing various auditions, he was announced to the fans of the show on July 23, 2022. He competed with other housemates for the grand prize of 100 million naira.

Personal life
BBNaija Hermes Iyele is a popular face around the Oworo/Ifako/Bariga axis of Lagos State. He resides in the Oworonshoki area of Lagos. In 2020, when a criminal gang, One Million Boys, launched an attack on communities in Lagos, he led other youths in the Oworonshoki community to repel the gang’s attack.
Hermes Iyele is a Christian and worships at Harvesters Pentecostal Church and HICC Community. He enjoys tattoos and has various images tattooed on his body. He enjoys playing basketball and American football. You can find him on the basketball court in Lagos when he is not dancing.
His mother, who suffered from mental illness, went missing in early 2022. However, she was soon found and is in good health. BBNaija Hermes Iyele was a close friend of the late dancer & video star Picture Kodak.
