Early life
BBNaija Rachel Edwards was born on October 6, 1994 in Kano State to Mr. and Mrs. Edwards Akowe. She spent her early years living in northern Nigeria before her family moved back to the Southern region.
She is an indigene of Edo state. Rachel Edwards comes from a Christian family and attended church regularly during her childhood and teenage years. She spent her childhood years living in Benin City.
Growing up, she aspired to become an actress. BBNaija Rachel Edwards’ desire to become a movie star inspired her to hone her acting skills by participating in school plays and musicals. She was an active member of the Drama Club in elementary and middle school.

She starred in the film Mustapha, alongside leading actors such as Ernest Obi, Chelsea Obiakalusi, Maryam Booth, Chinonso Arubayi and Stanley Igboanugo. She also played supporting roles in the films A Long Way Down and The Third Wheel.
Apart from being an actress, BBNaija Rachel Edwards is also a successful businessman. She has built a thriving small business in the Beauty, Cosmetics and Personal Care industries. She works as a makeup artist and has provided her services to hundreds of clients over the years. She also runs an online store where she sells beauty products and cosmetics to customers.
