According to a source, those close to Jennifer Lopez have never supported her husband, Ben Affleck.

In an exclusive report published Friday, an anonymous source told Page Six that the actress-singer’s trusted friends have never liked the Hollywood star. Among them is Lopez’s longtime manager, Benny Medina, who is also said to be the “Argo” actor’s biggest critic.

According to the source, Medina’s disdain for Affleck dates back to the early 2000s when J.Lo and the actor got together and even got engaged before breaking up in 2004. The insider noted that Affleck always felt the same way.
“The two of them can’t stand each other,” the source said before adding, “They don’t get along and are still feuding.”
Other sources told the outlet that Medina’s dislike of Affleck may stem from Lopez’s decision to split with her manager in 2003 when her romance with Affleck was in full swing.
Medina is credited with launching J.Lo to superstardom after debuting as a dancer on “In Living Color” in the 90s.
While it’s never been confirmed whether Lopez’s decision to cut ties with Medina at the time had anything to do with Affleck, it’s telling that Jennifer quickly rehired Benny after she called off her engagement to the “Air” star in 2004.

When Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance in July 2021 and married a year later, Medina, who later became one of the singer’s most trusted confidants, chose to “keep quiet” so as not to cause problems between the couple.
“His attitude was: ‘I’m not going to say anything.’ [There] not just, ‘Good for you,’ but also, [he] “It’s not negative,” another source told Page Six. “He knows her and he knows she’s going to marry him no matter what, so what’s the point?”
Representatives for Medina, Affleck and Lopez have not yet commented on the matter.
The news comes amid reports that Lopez and Affleck’s divorce is imminent, with multiple unnamed sources saying they could confirm the split before the end of the summer.

One of the sources — a close friend of the couple — said the “Jenny From the Block” singer was “caught up in the moment” as she and Ben rekindled their romance and things quickly progressed toward their wedding.
“They were so caught up in the moment. Jennifer had wanted this wedding — the dress, the friends, all the decorations and accessories — for decades,” the source confirmed.
But according to insiders, after two years of marriage, they realized that their relationship was never “built to last.”
“There are no more unanswered questions. They have seen everything they need to see and it is over. Ultimately, this will be the most complex and expensive exercise in closing a case ever,” the source added.
