Let’s call it Beywatch. Beyoncé tapped fashion icon and actress Pamela Anderson for her latest look.
One of the few visual aspects the singer has brought to her fans cowboy Carter album, Beyoncé carries some of Anderson’s most iconic styles. To the tune of the song “Bodyguard,” Beyoncé can be seen dancing to the song as she breezes through three of Anderson’s most iconic looks.
The 43-year-old first showed off his look like Anderson’s character in Barbed wirewearing a black dress with a plunging neckline, knee-high boots and long mesh gloves.
Another of Beyoncé’s looks inspired by Anderson was her iconic red bathing suit Baywatcheven though Beyoncé clearly read “Beywatch.”
Her third appearance in the video was the Anderson outfit she wore to the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, complete with a giant pink fuzzy hat, white corset, and sparkly leggings.
There are also some hidden messages sprinkled throughout the video. In time Barbed wire In the video, Queen Bey shoots a fake gun with the word “Vote” on the end of it. Additionally, the music video also ends with “Happy Beylloween”, which appears to be a reference to Halloween, which took place just days before the video’s release.
While Beyoncé sported Anderson’s look at the MTV Video Music Awards, she appeared at the “No Visual Awards” ceremony instead. This seems to be a cheeky nod to the lack of official music videos fans have received from her recent albums because of her two most recent releases, self-titled and lemonadeare musical movies.
She previously spoke about the lack of visuals GQ in an interview from September 2024.
She told the outlet: “Sometimes the visuals can distract from the quality of the vocals and the music. The years of hard work and detail that go into creating an album takes over 4 years! Just the sounds.” Music is enough”.
cowboy Carter became one of the most acclaimed albums of the year and spawned the hits “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “Shotgun Rider”.
