Social media exploded after Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles appeared to “like” an Instagram post published by ABC 7 Chicago announcing her son-in-law Jay-Z was charged with rape.
However, Knowles took to Instagram to clear her name, claiming that she had been hacked. “I was hacked,” she wrote. “As you all know, I don’t joke about my family. So if you see something unusual about me, know that it’s not me.”
She said a prayer before the Carters, captioning the post: “Please stop playing with me!!!! No weapon created against my family will prosper.”
The drama comes after news broke Sunday night that Jay-Z was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl at an MTV VMA afterparty with Diddy.

“Combs has been allowed to behave this way for years without any consequences. He believes he is above the law. He is not. His close friend Shawn Carter has been along for the ride.” with Combs in many of these cases. … Both perpetrators must face justice,” the lawsuit said.
Jay-Z immediately took to social media to deny the allegations, specifically mentioning the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee. “You made a terrible error of judgment in thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man straight out of the Brooklyn projects. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict rules and honor.”
He also filed a motion asking the woman who accused him to reveal her identity or dismiss the case. The motion also criticized the whistleblower for seeking significant financial compensation while remaining anonymous. However, his accuser still insisted that she never “asked for a penny” from him.
