Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, denied rumors that the star was paid $10 million to support Kamala Harris

Tina Knowles is setting the record straight with widespread misinformation regarding Beyoncé’s support of Kamala Harris during her presidential run.

The Knowles, along with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, each gave impassioned speeches at the Democratic presidential candidate’s Houston rally ahead of the October 25 election.

In the weeks since the event, political commentator Candace Owens has retweeted the claim that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at the rally on social media posts. On November 14, she tweeted promoting an episode of her YouTube series of the same name titled “Beyoncé Was Paid $10 Million for a 3 Minute Endorsement?!”

The panic over Matt Gaetz’s nomination is a sign that he needs confirmation.

Beyoncé reportedly paid 10 million for Kamala’s endorsement for 3 minutes.

Now, Knowles has stepped up to defend her daughter. On November 16, she shared a post on her Instagram, criticizing Owens for “lacking integrity” and spreading stories rooted in invalid claims.

“The lie is that Beyoncé was paid $10 million to speak at Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally in Houston. When in reality, Beyoncé did not receive a dime for speaking at the rally Presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ campaign in Houston, she actually paid for her own flights for her and her team and was completely charming,” Knowles said.

She went on to say that the efforts to spread false stories not only “lie and disrespect Beyoncé’s name but are also attempting to further discredit the authority of our vice president! “

“When [do] Do the lies and rumors stop? Of course you won’t see this on the news!” Knowles continued.

Knowles received support from John Legend in the comments section, who wrote: “Let me know Miss Tina! We all performed/appeared for free because we care about the future of the country me.”

Owens claims that her post flagged as “misinformation” actually “named multiple publications that reported” the $10 million claim and that “they have all reached out to confirmed allegations of repeated agreements with both Beyoncé and [the] Kamala’s campaign and were met with silence.”

Harris would go on to lose the election to Donald Trump and Beyoncé has yet to speak out about the rumors about her salary.

However, the superstar is preparing to perform during the halftime show of the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans on Christmas Day on Netflix. This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has performed during halftime. She previously showed off her talent at the 2013 Super Bowl.
