After her “Eras Tour” ended in December, Taylor Swift is reportedly preparing to announce a major new project into the literary world.
According to The Sun, the 14-time Grammy Award-winning singer appeared to hint that she will finally release her debut novel titled “A Girl Called Girl”, which she is said to have written when she was just 14 years old.
The paper reported that Swift recently trademarked the name and rights to the book, which tells the story of a mother’s longing for a son and her journey to embrace her daughter.
It’s been reported that Swift’s parents kept and cared for the manuscript for the pop superstar at some point.
The “Cruel Summer” singer first trademarked and registered the rights to her novel’s name in 2015.
After years of delays, fans appear to be getting closer to getting their hands on the work as Swift’s new branding is said to include both book and audio merch, according to The Sun.
Swift has previously revealed that she started writing the book before her music career took off.
The “Lover” hitmaker told the Examiner in an interview that while she was on tour in 2012, “all my friends were back in Pennsylvania, so I had nothing to do.”
“I had this epiphany; I was going to be a novelist and I was going to write novels. That was going to be my career path,” she explained.
It is currently unknown when the book will be released. Swift has not officially announced plans to release the novel at this time.
Fans won’t just get a surprise release from the singer-songwriter.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Swift was working on a documentary that would provide a behind-the-scenes look at the “Eras Tour.”
An unnamed insider told The Sun: “Taylor has been quietly filming behind-the-scenes footage of her ‘Eras’ tour since last year.”
“It will be an in-depth look at the tour and the mechanics behind it, which will be very exciting for fans,” the source added.
The documentary will also explore the Southport mass stabbing and the foiled terrorist plot that led to the cancellation of three Eras Tour concerts in Vienna, Austria.
Insiders also told the outlet that the project will delve into the writing process of Swift’s 11th album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” which shot to the top of the charts and stayed there for weeks after its April release.
