The names of the stars who will perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration continue to be revealed, with Billy Ray Cyrus being the newest star.
According to reports from The mirrorBilly Ray has been added to the list of performers at Trump’s party. However, his concert announcement comes as his relationship with daughter Miley Cyrus remains in a difficult state.
Adding to the awkwardness, Miley has previously been an open supporter of Democratic candidates, having voted for both Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton in their 2016 and 2020 elections.
“Today I voted for Hillary Clinton. I’m so proud of all of you for doing so! #imwithher,” she posted on Facebook in 2016.
She shared her excitement after Biden won the 2020 election, referencing her song “Party in the USA”
“Now THIS is THE PARTY IN THE USA! @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris,” she said in a post to X.
She didn’t mince words in 2019, calling Trump “a total racist, sexist, obnoxious a**hole” in an interview with Vanity fair.
Meanwhile, Trump previously mocked Miley when Billy Ray attended a campaign rally for the President-elect in August 2024.
“Billy Ray Cyrus is here. Where’s Billy Ray? He’s around here somewhere, and he’s great. He’s a conservative. I said, How did you get such a liberal daughter?” How did that happen, Billy Ray?” Trump told Billy Ray, The mirror report.
The relationship between Billy Ray and Miley declined after Billy Ray and Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus, divorced after nearly three decades together. To make matters worse, Billy Ray’s relationship with his ex-wife Firerose continues to cause tension in the family.
A source who spoke to Radar Online previously shared that Miley refuses to talk to her father despite his attempts to talk to her after her marriage to Firerose failed.
In July 2024, a leaked audio clip of Billy Ray surfaced online, where he could be heard calling Miley many derogatory names, including “skank” and “devil”.

Other sources spoke to Daily mail after the audio leaked and shared that Billy Ray is now “dead” to Miley.
The source said: “There is no reason for a father to call his daughter a bitch. Any vague respect Miley had for her father is gone. As for her, he has dead”.
