Rosé is the newest member of BlackPink to start a solo career.

The music superstar shared on her social media platform on October 1 that she will be releasing her debut solo album later this year. In a post on her Instagram, she announced that her debut album will be called “Rosie” and shared the project’s cover art.

“I can’t believe I’m finally announcing the release of my first album to you all,” she wrote.

The album cover shows Rosé lying down with her blonde locks falling over her face.

Further in the caption, the artist explained that when BlackPink finished her year-long Born Pink World Tour, she went to the studio in LA. She then spent the next year working on music.

“I have had sleepless nights feeling confused and lost. But with the support of my dear friends and family, my team and of course my loved ones, today I sit here and excited to announce the release date of my album. I’ve poured my blood and tears into this album. I can’t wait for you to hear this little diary of mine, Rosie – which is the name I let my friends and family calls me. With this album, I hope you all will feel closer to me,” Rosé added.

“And yes, it’s a long album,” she concludes.

The album is expected to arrive on December 6 via Atlantic Records. Rosie came right after news broke that Rosé had signed a contract with the record label.

“Hello my number ones 👉🏼👈🏼 I’m so excited to announce to you my signing with @atlanticrecords !!!!!! I know you’ve all been waiting for this moment for a long time, but I hope you guys are READY for what the next few months will bring!!
