Blake Shelton shares ‘humiliating’ incident of stepson Zuma with Vince Gill

Blake Shelton and his stepson made a hilarious mistake involving country singer Vince Gill.

In a video posted to CMT’s official TikTok page, Shelton recalled the time Zuma, the 16-year-old son of his wife Gwen Stefani, accidentally called Gill via FaceTime.

“He thought he was calling his nanny Vince and he called Vince Gill,” Shelton explains in the video.

“I was walking past the house and heard Vince Gill’s voice like he was laughing. I looked and saw Zuma throw the phone down,” the singer recalled.

Shelton — who has long advertised that he is the proud stepfather of Stefani’s three sons, including 18-year-old Kingston and 10-year-old Apollo — continued, “He said, ‘I don’t know. Someone answered Vince’s phone.” And I looked, and he called Vince Gill, who was in Amsterdam – He FaceTimed him while he was in Amsterdam with The Eagles!”

Shelton and Gill spoke again after the incident and Gill shared why he picked up the phone in the first place.

“Man, I’m laughing,” Gill said. “I thought you must be drunk or something.”

Shelton said Zuma has now become “the biggest Vince Gill fan in the world” and asked him to call the singer back.

“He said, ‘Can we FaceTime him again?!’”

But Shelton noted that that “will never really happen again.”

“That’s so humiliating for me!” he added.

Of course, Shelton was almost never stepfather to Stefani’s three sons in the first place. Stefani shared that she didn’t even know who Shelton was before they met because they were both singing competition coaches. Voice.
