Bobby Bones is an American television and radio personality best known as the host of The Bobby Bones Show, a nationally syndicated country music radio program.
Bobby Estell was born into poverty and raised by his single mother and grandmother. Despite this, he received a comprehensive education, eventually earning a Bachelor’s degree in Radio/Television at the age of twenty-two.
At the age of five, he became interested in radio and received a radio set as a birthday present. While attending Henderson State University, he began his career as a DJ.
He then worked at 96.7 KISS (KHFI-FM) in Austin, where he developed The Bobby Bones Show.
The show eventually moved to Nashville and was broadcast nationwide, reaching 100 cities. In addition to being a full-time mentor on American Idol and having written two best-selling books, Bobby Bones is a fan favorite.

Early life
Bobby Estell was born on April 2, 1980 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, United States. His mother, Pamela Hurt, was fifteen years old when he was born, and his father, whose identity is unknown, was seventeen. Bobby’s younger sister is Amanda.
Bobby’s father abandoned the family when he was about five years old. The children were then raised in a trailer near Mountain Pine by their single mother.
They were forced to rely entirely on welfare and food stamps. When his mother’s supplies ran out, she turned to stealing.
His mother was also an alcoholic and drug addict; therefore, she was absent most of the time. Perhaps because of this, he was formally adopted and raised by his grandmother Hazel Hurt for a time. Bobby was in his teens when she died.
Career
At the age of 17, Bobby Bones began working as a radio host at KLAZ. In 2009, he began his acting career in the romantic comedy musical Bandslam. He also starred in the television show Nashville in 2012.
Bobby is a bestselling author, launching his first bestselling book, “I am not alone if you are reading this book.“, on May 17, 2016. He also wrote Fail Until You Don’t: Fight Grind Repeat and Stanley the Dog: The First Day of School.
He released his first EP titled “Kiddy Up: Kiddy Up” on November 2, 2015, and his first music video was titled “If I Were Your Boyfriend” in 2016.
He was named Best Radio Personality and Best Radio Show in 2007-2008 for “The Bobby Bones Show”.
