Early life and education
Brendan Rodgers, now 50, was born on January 26, 1973 in Carnlough, Northern Ireland. Growing up in a coastal village, he developed a love of football from an early age.
Rodgers grew up in a Catholic family, his father, Malachy Rodgers, worked as a painter and decorator, and his mother, Kristina, volunteered for the Irish charity Trócaire.
He is the eldest of five brothers, and his younger brother, Malachy, also pursued a career in the music industry.
Growing up, Rodgers was a passionate Sheffield Wednesday and Celtic fan.

Career
After retiring, Brendan Rodgers moved into coaching and management. He began his coaching career at Reading, serving as academy director.
Rodgers gained valuable experience in Spain, studying various coaching methods before being invited by José Mourinho to join Chelsea as youth team coach in 2004.
He quickly rose through the ranks and eventually became reserve team coach.
In 2008, Rodgers took on his first managerial role at Watford, followed by a brief spell at Reading in 2009. However, it was his tenure at Swansea City from 2010 to 2012 that brought him widespread recognition.
