Britney Spears is reportedly ready to criticize ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, ex-husband Sam Asghari, estranged father Jamie and others she says have wronged her.
Several media outlets, including In Touch Weekly and Radar Online, have reported that the singer is preparing to cast three men as villains in her upcoming biopic based on her highly successful autobiography, “The Woman In Me.” Music Times was unable to independently verify the report.
“They better prepare for major embarrassment because Britney won’t hold back,” an unnamed insider told Radar Online.
“Britney is incredibly excited about the movie and is very involved in every aspect of it. She’s sold a lot of books, but she knows that many more people will see the movie,” the source added.
The “Baby One More Time” hitmaker has had a strained relationship with her family since her conservatorship ended. Insiders told the outlet that their portrayal in the upcoming biopic won’t be entirely positive, claiming, “Her dad will be a major villain in the film.”
In her book, Spears doesn’t hold back when discussing Timberlake, accusing him of cheating on her and influencing her decision to have an abortion when they were dating in the 2000s.
However, another unnamed source told In Touch that the 42-year-old “Toxic” singer believes she was “too easy” on her ex and plans to take a harder line in the upcoming film adaptation.
Meanwhile, Spears’ marriage to Asghari hit a rough patch in early 2023 and eventually ended. By August 2023, the couple had officially decided to separate after 14 months of marriage. The divorce was finalized in May.

Although her book contains positive comments about her ex-husband, Spears may now take the opportunity to express her frustrations with her ex, Radar’s source confirmed.
“This movie will be a huge release for Britney, not to mention a huge payday. She’s taking her power back and loving it,” the insider told the outlet.

After news broke on August 1 that a Spears biopic was in the works, Timberlake reportedly felt nervous about how he would be portrayed in the film.
“There’s no doubt that Justin and Britney’s relationship will be featured in the movie version of the tell-all book, and he’s going crazy about it,” an anonymous source told Heat magazine.
The insider further explained, “Justin has his acting career to worry about and his reputation is tarnished enough.”
“If he’s meant to be the main villain in a Britney movie, casting directors might think twice before putting him on the project,” they added.
Earlier this month, Universal Pictures announced that it had acquired the rights to Spears’ memoir and tapped director Jon M. Chu to adapt the pop superstar’s life story into a film.
Spears gave a sneak peek at the film as she shared insights into her collaboration with producer Marc Platt, who was involved in bringing the project to life.
“I’m so excited to share with my fans that I’m working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He always makes movies I love… stay tuned,” she tweeted in early August.
