Bruce Springsteen has warned about the toxicity young musicians face in the industry following the death of Liam Payne

Bruce Springsteen is speaking out about the music industry following the death of Liam Payne.

In a new interview, the New Jersey native called it “normal” for the industry to put a lot of pressure on young musicians.

“It’s a normal thing. It’s a business that puts a lot of pressure on young people. Young people don’t have the inner or inner foundation to be able to protect themselves from a lot of things yet.” comes success and fame,” he said Telegraph.

Because of the pressure, Springsteen says young musicians tend to turn to stimulants.

“So they get lost in a lot of difficult things and often cause pain whether it’s drugs or alcohol to relieve that pressure. I understand that very well,” he shared.

The rock legend went on to share that his band, the E Street Band, “are struggling with their own problems.”

“Danny [Federici] definitely did. You know, drugs are not uncommon in the E Street Band. There was a boundary. I don’t get involved in your business, but if I stand on stage and see that you’re not your complete self, there’s going to be a problem,” Springsteen added.

Springsteen argues that the untimely deaths of icons like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain are proof that young artists are still being crushed by the weight of industry pressures.

“You know, that’s part of the story that attracts some young people, but it’s the same old story. Dying young—good for the record company, but what’s in it for you?” Springsteen shared.

He went on to say that he had addressed the issues but they were “quieter.”

“With all artists, due to the influence of history and self-loathing, there is a huge drive for self-destruction to happen on stage,” he added.

One Direction was formed in 2010 when Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson all tried their hand at the British version of the song. X factor. The boys rose to stardom and went on to sell 70 million records worldwide and score hits “What Make You Beautiful,” “Best Song Ever” and “Night Changes”. Since Payne’s death, all One Direction members have mourned him.

Payne died on October 16 after falling from a third-floor balcony. Authorities arrived on the scene within seven minutes, but it was too late and Payne’s body was found in the hotel yard. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his cause of death was given as debilitating skull fracture.

At the time of his death, it was revealed that Payne had multiple substances in his system following his tragic death.

Good morning America reported that pink cocaine was in his system. This is a stimulant drug that is often a combination of drugs including methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and others. Other drugs in Payne’s system were cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack. The newspaper went on to report that following Payne’s death, a homemade aluminum tube for drug consumption was also found in his hotel room.
