Bryan Baeumler was born on April 18, 1974 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. He grew up in Canada with his two siblings and had a passion for business at a young age. He spent his childhood summers building a small house for his family.

He learned from his father, an aircraft engineer. Baeumler started his own vaudeville business at age 14, doing odd jobs for neighbors. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1996.
