Olawale Ọlọ́fọọ̀rọ̀ Ashimi (born 9 May 1986), better known by his stage name Brymo, is a creative Nigerian writer, producer, singer and songwriter.

He is one of the most acclaimed artists in Nigeria with outstanding lyrics and performances. He started singing at the age of 14 and sang his first song at the age of 18. He has also published a fictional novel titled “Oliri’s Dilemma”.

Brymo became a well-known figure in Nigeria after signing with Chocolate City Entertainment in 2010. He also sang lead vocals on Ice Prince’s single “Oleku”. His chorus in “Oleku” was rated as one of the best choruses in a rap song by a Nigerian singer.

Brammore’s single “Ara” catapulted him to fame and won him Record of the Year at the 2012 Hip Hop World Awards.

Early life and education

Bramo was born on May 9, 1986 in Okokomaiko, Lagos, Nigeria, as the only son of an Awori carpenter and an Egon trader.

Bramo attended an Islamic school and learned how to recite the entire Quran.

He began his education at Aganjuaka Primary School and later transferred to Japur Primary School. He then transferred to Ajam Badi High School in Ajam Badi, Lagos and obtained his Leaving Certificate in 2003.

Blemo studied Zoology at Lagos State University but later left to focus on his music career.

Profession

Blymer began his music career in 1999 when he recorded the song “Future” while in middle school.

He began pursuing music after hearing his mother singing Fuji songs. In 2002, he and his friends formed the band The Aliens. On the other hand, the band disbanded in 2005 after a series of problems. After that, he did not sign with a record company and started a solo career.

Brymo rose to fame in 2010 when he was featured on the hit track Oleku from Ice Prince’s debut studio album, Everybody Loves Ice Prince.
