Buntu Petse was born on February 12, 1997 in Johannesburg, South Africa. She also grew up in Johannesburg.

Buntu Petse attended the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. In 2019, she graduated with an honours degree in Theatre Arts.
Her parents were very supportive of her, encouraging her to pursue her passion.
Career
The actress landed her “big movie role” during her final days in college.
She made her debut in the popular soap opera Generation: The Legacy on 2 December 2019, when her character Ntole came down from Cape Town to visit her mother Ayanda on holiday.
Her role in The Generation was her first TV role. However, Buntu Petse got her first television experience at a young age, when she appeared on the SABC1 science and technology show Teenagers on a Mission (TOMZ), as a presenter.
Relationship life
Actress Buntu Petse is yet to reveal anything about her love life. However, Buntu Petse hopes to get married and become a mother in five (5) years.

Buntu replied:
Married, with kids, living in a beautiful house that I own. But most importantly, doing what I love most. Acting.
