Calixte Ganogo is a Congolese politician and veteran of the country’s financial sector.
On December 29, 2010, he was appointed Deputy General Director of Congo’s leading oil company: Société Nationale des pétroles du Congo (SNPC).
He was also appointed Minister of Finance on 30 April 2016 – a month after Denis Sassou Nguesso won the presidential election.

Early life
Calixte Ganogo was born into a very large family. He grew up in the northern part of the Republic of Congo; and comes from a town called Oyo.
Calixte Ganogo spent most of his childhood with his father, helping him with manual labor.
Before he turned twenty, this Congolese civil servant had mastered the art of risk management; a quality largely due to his strict upbringing.

After recording many successful years at SNPC, Calixte Ganogo was called up to join the cabinet of ministers of the President of Congo; Sassou Nguesso. He was appointed Minister of Finance on April 30, 2016 – a month after Nguesso won the presidential election.
