On December 29, 2010, he was appointed Deputy General Director of Congo’s leading oil company: Société Nationale des pétroles du Congo (SNPC).
He was also appointed Minister of Finance on 30 April 2016 – a month after Denis Sassou Nguesso won the presidential election.

Early life
Calixte Ganogo was born into a very large family. He grew up in the northern part of the Republic of Congo; and comes from a town called Oyo.
Calixte Ganogo spent most of his childhood with his father, helping him with manual labor.
